Even though we have composed our wet food in an optimal ratio of muscle meat, offal, vegetables and fruit, the nutrients it contains are not enough to provide our dog with optimal nutrition and be sufficient as a complete food.

Nutrients are always lost in the manufacturing process and in the processing of food. In addition, our food nowadays unfortunately no longer bring the nutrient content that we and also our dogs need, or because the content varies greatly, we supplement these to safeguard the nutrient supply. So you can feed our natural food without hesitation as a complete food.

Vitamin A:

The fat-soluble vitamin A is particularly contained in liver, eggs and as a vegetable beta-carotene source in vegetables such as spinach, carrots, broccoli and lamb's lettuce.

A deficiency of vitamin A weakens the immune system. It weakens the eyes up to blindness in case of long-term, severe deficiency, the mucous membranes of the intestine and the lungs can dry out.

Although vitamin A is heat stable, it is still not supplied in sufficient quantity by the vegetables and liver contained in the feed.

A strong overdose can have a toxic effect, because excess vitamin A is stored in fat and muscle tissue.

Vitamin D:

Vitamin D is one of the fat-soluble vitamins and is found especially in fatty fish (mackerel, salmon)/fish oil, egg yolk or liver.

Vitamin D is also very heat stable, but is nevertheless not supplied in sufficient quantity by the liver contained in the feed.

Moreover, unlike humans, dogs can hardly generate vitamins themselves.

Vitamin D is essential for the body to regulate the levels of calcium and phosphorus in the blood and to ensure that the bones are properly supplied with it.

A deficiency is often manifested by a dull coat, a weak immune system, fatigue, reduced performance. In the case of a long-term deficiency, the bones become "soft" due to the lack of mineralization.

A strong overdose can have a toxic effect, because excess vitamin D is stored in fat and muscle tissue.

Vitamin E:

Vitamin E is one of the fat-soluble vitamins and is found particularly in green vegetables such as spinach and broccoli, but especially in nuts and seeds as well as in vegetable oils such as wheat germ oil and rapeseed oil.

Since vegetable oils contain many unsaturated fatty acids, they are sometimes not very heat resistant. Better give a good wheat germ oil fresh over the feed.

As a fat-soluble vitamin, vitamin E scavenges free radicals that attack the fatty acids of the body's cells. Therefore, it is considered the most important protective vitamin of our cells and, of course, the cells of the dog's body.

A deficiency of vitamin E can manifest itself in muscle weakness, difficulty walking, and impaired reflexes and coordination.

A strong overdose can have a toxic effect, because excess vitamin E is stored in fat and muscle tissue.

Trace elements

Since our food nowadays unfortunately no longer brings the nutrient content that we and also our dogs need, or the amounts vary greatly, we supplement these to safeguard the nutrient supply. So you can feed our natural food without hesitation as a complete food.

Since fatty acids change during heating and also many vitamins are not sufficiently heat stable to survive the cooking process, we do not add oils to wet food. We recommend that you always add oil fresh to the food.
